With nearly NT$ 54 million annually in external funding, faculty, researchers, and students at the Department of Mechanical Engineering conduct research in more than 40 different areas. The department is committed to educating new generations of researchers, to expanding its research partnerships with government agencies and with industry, and to working closely with other departments across the College of Engineering and the University in cross-disciplinary research efforts.
